Songwriting

In high school, I was in five bands over a span of 3 years.

In all five, I played piano and bass. In the 5th one I was in, I was also the lead singer. Now, I don’t consider myself a singer at all. The only reason I ended up as the lead singer was because our first one dropped.

Regardless, it was always a lot of fun. I was able to perform with my best friends and even though I was highly self-conscious, we always managed to put on a decent show. We definitely grew closer.

So, now I’m deciding on whether I want to take a leap of faith. In what way? I’m thinking of taking a songwriting class at school so I don’t have to take this other one that gets out really late.

I’m fine with writing. But singing in front of 25 people without a band backing me frightens me more than you know. But maybe I should take my own advise and be fearless.

I think I should be fearless.
