Honda Civic Tour: Blink-182, My Chemical Romance and Matt & Kim. (10/8/11)
I was fortunate enough to work with Keep A Breast yesterday, along with my friend Becca.
Basically, we sold merch and gave out information about self-checking for breast cancer and to raise awareness about the non-profit foundation. If you’re not sure what Keep A Breast is, you actually probably do. Its “I <3 Boobies” bracelets are extremely popular.
Imagine a world without cancer. What would that mean to you?
After everything slowed down, we helped break down the booth and were able to watch the last couple songs of MCR’s set and Blink’s set in all its entirety, including Mark’s “big note” finale. Yes, it was that epic. Plus, Barker’s kid rocking on stage was the most adorable thing I’ve witnessed. I’m still not over how close we were in such a HUGE venue that is the Hollywood Bowl.
I’m proud to say I witnessed Travis Barker’s godliness and his flying drum solo. Pretty sure every drummer should have a shrine dedicated to him.
There’s nothing better than volunteering for a good cause and rocking out at a show that couldn’t be missed.
