Adventure to and from Santa Monica
Today was grand. The girls and I were suppose to go to Santa Monica for the beach, but after checking the weather (it was only suppose to be 62) we decided to just o shopping there. The 3rd street promenade is my favorite place to shop, so I had no complaints. lol.
We took two buses to get there and enjoyed shopping. The other girls had never been there before so it way cool to see them get excited about the awesome places there. I bought a pair of high waist jean shorts from Forever 21 and then this pack of eye shadow that has every color imaginable. It was from Urban Outfitters, originally $24, but I got it for $10 :)
After shopping, we ate at this crepe restaurant I really love and grabbed Pinkberry before we left. Then, we went on an adventure on the way back. Well, we knew exactly where we were going but when we were waiting for our second bus, it took almost an hour to arrive. On top of that, , it was stopping at the street across from the one it was suppose to, so we had to run our asses over to it before it went without us. haha.
Quite a day. Super fun. Now to have a “flatonet” dinner in the dining hall. Shall be fun as always. Hot chocolate here I come. lol

In high school, I decided to claim edge. It’s been tough in college to be around such heavy drinkers and I started having second thoughts about being straight edge. Then something happened last week and I decided to stick to what I’ve always believed in for myself. I’m not saying drinking is a bad thing. At least casual drinking. Almost all of my friends drink. But, excessive drinking can have too many negative consequences. A guy my boyfriend works with almost died last week after a very dangerous turn of events.
I’ve lived for 20 years without drinking. I think I can continue that for the rest of my life. Sometimes being the only non-drinking friend around can be a downer because I don’t always feel like I fit in or even accepted. I think I’m over that though.
I have a lot of will power and I’m proud of that. I’m proud of the decisions I have continued to make. I’m proud of who I am.
