Three days

I have enjoyed this three day weekend. A month and a half ago, I had planned to go home for a couple of days, but as my second semester progressed, I decided not to. 1. I signed up to write a review for CASA’s Culture Show for The Daily Trojan 2. I had a Philosophy paper due today as well 3. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of the travel and 4. I wanted to have as little stress as possible. There are a lot of things going on.

I’m really glad my mom came to visit though. On Saturday we went to the GRAMMY Museum which was sick and then drove to Hollywood to see The Social Network. It was raining and super cold, but for dinner we had some delicious shabu-shabu. YUM.

On Sunday, we visited Redondo Beach because we had never been before. We found a lot of cool places to eat at for the future. We then went to the second largest mall in California, but it kinda sucked. They had most of the stores I liked, but they were all spread out and the rest of the stores were reminded me of Hilltop. Being one of the biggest malls does not mean it’s one of the nicest.  haha

After shopping (bought a cool tank and something for Sam), we drove back to school to pick up my roommates Rachel and Andrea for some KBBQ. It was soo good. I need to go to that place more often. I’ve only been twice. It’s only $10 for all-you-can-eat so its so worth it.

When we got back to campus smelling like KBBQ, my mom, my friend Leowil and I went to CASA’s Culture Show: Legacy. It was pretty awesome. It was a stage production put on by the students in CASA. Lots of sexual innuendos lol. There were also special perfromaces by Traditional Chinese Dance, Wushu Nation, Joseph Vincent, and Chaotic 3. Pretty fun.

Today was a work day. I had to turn in my philosophy paper by noon online, so I woke up at 9:30 to finish it. Ended up turning it in at 10:30. Then I had my Culture Show article due by 6pm. Turned it in 4:30. I feel pretty accomplished. Now I’m going to do some reading for journalism and study some Spanish. Then I can relax tonight. Sweet.

It’s officially my weekend. Done with classes. Done with writing up a blog post for my job. Sure, I could work on some homework, but I’m going to take the time to enjoy some things.

I think I’ll

• Find something decent to eat for dinner
• Pop in “Where The Wild Things Are” (i’ve never seen it)
• Work on new designs for Hours Lost and decide on the summer line’s color scheme
• Bake cinnamon rolls

And maybe a few other things I’ve been meaning to do.

Stress #4

Keep Agreements

• When we keep agreements, things work out; the systems in which we live run smoothly
• We also maintain our integrity when we keep agreements
• When we don’t keep agreements, things do not run as smoothly and integrity is lost

Things are looking up. A lot of opportunities have been opening up, I had a fun weekend with a decent balance of school work and I’m really happy. I love times like this.
